Building a productive startup team is one of the most important phase of startup development, as the future of your startup depends on this team. It can be exhausting at times, but once you are done with hiring the best talent, much of the stuff gets the right direction.

So, you are done with finding the right people for your business and have built an effective startup team. But that’s not the end. It is in fact the beginning and in order to take your startup to the next level, you must be able to sustain the team productivity.

Building an effective startup team itself is great achievement, but just building an effective team does not guarantee startup success. In order to achieve the desired results and meet the targets, you must sustain the productivity of the team and this sustainable productivity should last longer.

For almost all entrepreneurs, the most difficult phase is to keep up the team momentum and productivity;  this article will focus specifically on sustaining the team momentum, productivity and enthusiasm.


When it comes to start-ups, employees should feel the belonging and should have a stake in the business in order to keep the sense of responsibility and partnership. This does not mean that they are shareholders but supporting systems, such as:

  • Referral system
  • Performance appraisal system
  • Sales commission
  • Or, just any other that helps bringing more business to the company
