Unlike TutorEva, Mathway’s approach to solving the question involves multiplying 30 by 5 and then by 2. But then, the result is inaccurate. Airmath similarly uses the combination rule but arrives at 0.27%. Plus it doesn’t provide detailed steps to the answer.

Cameramath fails to answer the question explicitly, while Photomath provides no detailed explanation. Guathmath solves the question with the help of a traditional tutor.

Ratio Question


The ratio of the distance between bases on a professional baseball field to the distance between bases on a youth baseball field is 3:2. Bases on a professional baseball field are 90 feet apart. What is the distance between bases on a youth baseball field?

As expected, TutorEva first makes a plan and then solves the problem. Delving deeper, it takes the ratio of the distances of both fields and divides it by the actual distance (90 feet) of the professional baseball field to arrive at 60 feet.

Mathway, on the other hand, comes up with a rather surprising answer: Nothing further can be done with this topic. Please check the expression entered or try another topic.

In the same vein, Airmath is unable to find answers that match the question. For Cameramath, an upgrade on the user’s account is required to get a solution, the same as Photomath. Although Gauthmath answers the question, there is no detailed explanation to back it up.

Detailed Analysis and Interpretation of Questions

Although Airmath does justice to the question, its workings are handwritten and may be illegible to the student. Photomath fails to respond to the query, whereas Gauthmath and Cameramath provide inaccurate responses.

Word Question


The surface area of Earth is about 196.9 million square miles. The land area is about 57.5 million square miles, and the rest is water. What is the probability that a meteorite that reaches the surface of Earth will hit land? What is the probability that it will hit the water?

To answer this question accurately, TutorEva formulates a plan to divide the land area or water area by the Earth’s total surface area.

First off, it finds the probability of the meteorite hitting the land by dividing 57.5 by 196.9 to arrive at 0.292. Then it finds the water’s surface area by subtracting the land mass (57.5) from the Earth’s total surface area (196.9).

TutorEva divides the answer, 139.4, by 196.9 to get approximately 0.708, which is the probability that the meteorite will hit the water. Similar to the previous question, Mathway is unable to solve this one, likewise Photomath.

Although Airmath solves it, there are no detailed steps as such. Cameramath returns a slew of results with no answer. Gauthmath relies on an in-house tutor to tackle the question, a process that may take a while.
