After all, it seems as though as time passes, the generations coming up would be more tech-savvy than those who came before. It follows that they should be able to troubleshoot problems they run into on websites, apps, or platforms without needing to reach out to tech support.

    However, whether the question has to do with high risk payment processors, faulty login credentials, or something else entirely, the popularity of tech support services remains high. Let’s look at a few reasons why that may be the case.

    Tech Knowledge Isn’t Passed Down to the Younger Generations

    While it’s true that younger individuals are growing up at a time when more advanced technology is available, as it turns out, not as many of them know how to use computers as you might imagine. Gen X and Millennials grew up when this technology was new. As a result, many of them learned how to troubleshoot it in school or on their own.

    This phenomenon doesn’t seem to be present as much with Gen Z and those coming up behind them. Strangely, many members of these generations seem to need more tech support with issues that older individuals can correct by themselves.

A grandparent might need assistance diagnosing a tech-related issue, and their grandchild might as well. It’s the generation in the middle that often provides the tech support that’s required.

    No matter what age someone is, if you’re attempting to learn a new interface, such as a SaaS platform for work, there may be some aspects of it that are not as intuitive as you would hope. That’s another time when tech support is often needed.

    Getting AI tech support can sometimes be helpful, but usually, the person who’s struggling will prefer to converse with an actual human being.

    Poor Eyesight Can Be an Issue
